Asthma And Its Causes

Are you asthmatic? Is there anyone in your family who is? I'm sure that you want to know what are the causes that triggers this condition. So, let's get started.

What is Asthma?
Asthma is a lung condition which causes difficulty in breathing. It is a disease that affects the bronchioles, which is the breathing passages of the lungs. This can be chronic to some people who are highly sensitive to triggers.

The Causes
The truth is, asthma has no exact cause. People develop this condition from different triggers. It could be triggered by dust, polluted air or cigarette

smoke, fumes, dust mites, and pollens. This can also be triggered from the intake of particular foods such as shrimp, dried fish, or any common food that can be allergic.

Now, the question is, how does this actually happens?

Asthmatic people experience exactly the same attack yet the caused by different factors or triggers. This could be external or internal causes.

So, when inflammation

is triggered, the air passage to the lungs or air ways swell and filled with mucus. This causes the muscles within the air passages to contract, leading to further narrowing of the air ways, thus making it difficult to inhale and exhale air from the lungs. This contraction also creates a wheezing sound when breathing because of the bronchospasm.

This is dangerous when an attack is severe and could be a cause of death. And so proper treatment is necessary. In fact, asthma occurs mostly to children. When one in your household suffers from asthma, it’s best to see the doctor whenever possible even when it doesn’t attack. There are a lot of ways to help ease the difficulty in breathing and it’s best to always be on guard and ready to help a patient.
